A Thru American Elk is a room-sized entertainment center, built out of over 500 copies of volume 1 of Funk & Wagnall's New World Encyclopedia labeled in gold-leaf on the beautiful burgundy cover "A Thru American Elk." This installation, these 500 books, were carted around the country in hopes of re-use, before finally "recycling" them due to mold-growth last year.
